ADMPS 2399 - POLITICAL ECONOMY OF EDUCATION

IN THIS CLASS STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE (FROM "ECONOMICS OF EDUCATION") TO DEVELOP TECHNIQUES FOR ECONOMIC ANALYSIS. THE SUBJECT IS PLACED IN A BROADER INTELLECTUAL AND POLITI CAL CONTEXT. PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO CRITIQUE OF NEOCLASSICAL ECONOMIC ANALYSIS, TO ALTERNATIVE FRAMEWORKS FOR ECONOMIC ANALYSIS, INCLUDING CLASS-CONFLICT AND INSTITU TIONAL APPROACHES, AND THE APPLICATIONS OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS IN THE EDUCATIONAL POLICY PROCESS.
