He has been a member of the ACYCP for the past 32 years, which represents children's issues for the United States in UNESCO proceedings and sets the standards and practices for youth-serving organizations in North America.

“I look forward to working closely in the future with Pitt and other major institutions of higher learning in the United States and around the world as the association moves forward with the accreditation of academic departments that prepare the workforce for youth-serving organizations,” says Schneider-Munoz.

Through its national board, the association has certified youth work professionals in every state, including many of the School of Education’s own students and alumni.

New Comment: Professor Schneider-Munoz has made great contribution to the organization of child and youth care practice in North America with his many thought provoking articles about the state of professional child and youth care practice in the country and around the world. He also displays great enthusiasm about the field of child and youth care practice. Professor Schneider-Munoz holds to very high esteem the fore-runners and great leaders of the profession of child and youth care work, a group of people who the professor never failed to remind us all left behind them some very giant shoes for all the present and future practitioners to fill. Professor Schneider -Munoz will do a great job as board president of CYCCB. Congratulations! I'm a member of the organzation and a fan from Texas.
