Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published an article on Tuesday, August 14, featuring quotes from the Department of Health and Physical Activity Chair John Jakicic. The article focused on recent data released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which listed Pennsylvania as the 20th most obese state in the nation, at a rate of 28.6 percent. Jakicic discussed his reaction to these numbers along with the research he’s currently conducting at Pitt to combat obesity.
