Faculty member and Associate Dean, Tony Petrosky and his co-author Stephanie M. McConachie's, a fellow at Institute for Learning (Learning and Research Development Center) book "Content Matters: A Disciplinary Literacy Approach to Improving Student Learning" was released December 2009. Content Matters, which includes a forward from University of Pittsburgh Professor Emeritus Lauren Resnick, utilizes a disciplinary literacy instructional framework to prepare students, grades 6 and up, to master the rigorous academic content learning required for college success.
