Published on 1/4/2012 7:30:00 AM

Meredith Mileti, a former developmental and educational psychologist and research professor within the School of Education at Pitt, recently had her first novel published, Aftertaste: A Novel in Five Courses.

It tells the story of Mira Rinaldi, a New York chef who falls back on family and friends in Pittsburgh in an attempt to find happiness after she discovers her husband is cheating. Mileti began writing the story while working on her doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition, Mileti will be joining several Pittsburgh authors at the first annual Women Read/Women Write event on January 7, 2012, from noon to 4 p.m., at Barnes & Noble in Bethel Park.

More about the book and the rest of Mileti’s story can be found via a recent PopCity article or her blog at www.meredithmileti.com.
