Education of Students with Mental and Physical Disabilities - Doctor of Education (PhD)

Total of 90 credits with a maximum of 30 credits from master's degree

Program Area Studies (30-36 credits with at least 18 credits at the doctoral level and 15 credits from the University of Pittsburgh)

The remaining major field area courses are chosen according to the varying areas of specialization, such as deafness, learning disabilities, severe disabilities, early intervention, visual disabilities, and emotional disturbance. Coursework can be taken within the program or in another area or discipline, as long as the work is in the declared area of specialization and the program of studies is approved by the total faculty.
