Admissions for Reading Education - Reading Specialist Certificate of Advanced Study (K-12)
Admissions Requirements
- Completed School of Education Admissions Application.
- A non-refundable application fee of $50 (USD) by credit card, check, or money order payable to 'University of Pittsburgh'.
- Individual transcripts of work in all undergraduate and graduate study (requirements: an overall minimum QPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in undergraduate work for students without a master's degree; a 3.3 QPA in previous graduate work for students with a master's degree).
- Official, third-party evaluation of all international transcripts for applicants who have not received a master's degree within the United States. We strongly recommend using World Education Services (WES) to complete this service.
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended.
- Copy of spring registration form if enrolled in spring term courses.
- Prerequisite credits.
- Three letters of academic and/or professional recommendation.
- A thoughtful, clearly written goal statement of one to two typewritten, double-spaced pages.
- Resume.
- Current teaching certificate.
