Vision Studies - Doctor of Education (EdD)

Total of 90 credits minimum (maximum of 30 credits form master's degree)

The remaining courses are chosen based upon the undergraduate or graduate plan of study. Coursework can be taken within the program or in another area or discipline, as long as the work is in the declared area of specialization and the program of studies is approved by the total faculty. 27-33

Collateral Field Studies (15-18 credits)

Students complete a cluster of related courses dealing with a theme, study area, or topic supportive of the student's professional emphasis. A majority of the credits must be from outside the student's major field program area. 15-18

Research Methodology (12 credits)

Dept Course Title Credits
EdD candidates must complete a minimum of 12 credits in advanced research and/or evaluation methodology courses that will enable them to read, understand and design research. These courses must be selected from a list of courses approved by the School of Education. 12

Supervised Practicum (6 credits)

Applied practicum experiences in curriculum supervision, college teaching, and/or research in collaboration with a faculty mentor. 6
