Vision Studies - Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
The major goal of the PhD degree is the preparation of leadership personnel for service in the field of blindness and visual impairments. Graduates may serve as researchers and scholars committed to furthering the knowledge and empirical base in the field of blindness and visual impairments. Graduates may also serve infants, children, youth, and adults with blindness and visual impairment as direct service providers or as university professors or administrators. It is expected that graduates
of this program will have a significant impact on the quality of educational opportunities for persons who are blind and/or visually impaired.
