What is CGSE?

The Council of Graduate Students in Education (CGSE) is run by graduate students in the School of Education, and as a student within the school you're automatically a member of the organization. CGSE is supported primarily through the student activity fee fund with additional support from the Dean's office.

While an RSVP is not required, this will help us to order enough food for all guests. We hope that you can join us for a day of educational research presentations and an evening of networking and poster presentations. Details for the event are below.

Research talks feature student presentations of completed research studies clustered in cross-departmental sessions.
  • When: 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
  • Where: 2nd floor conference room of the LRDC building (3939 O’Hara Street)

Roundtable sessions highlight student research that is still in progress. Students are encouraged to attend and participate in discussions of research design and methodological issues.
  • When: 10:45 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Where: 9th floor conference room of the LRDC building (3939 O’Hara Street)

The poster session and reception showcases the research of 30 students and covers a wide range of topics. Enjoy food and refreshments while networking with faculty, staff, alumni, and students.
  • When: 7-9 p.m.
  • Where: Ballroom A on the first floor of the University Club (123 University Place)
