Greetings! My name is Lindsay Luce, and I coordinate graduation, career and scholarship services, and Act 48 for the School of Education. Throughout your time with us, you will likely interact with several different members of our team; however, you probably won’t get to know me until you are taking those final steps toward completing your program. Just think of my face as the sign that you are almost finished—you are merely a few courses, internship or dissertation defense away from earning that well-deserved degree that will serve as a personally and professionally gratifying accomplishment throughout your life. I am here to help you make sure you complete all of your graduation requirements, and help resolve any issues or concerns that may arise. I also spend a portion of my time looking for employment opportunities to share with our soon-to-be graduates, just to make the job search process a little easier. And for those of you who have a PA instructional certificate to maintain, I will work with you and the Department of Education to get your Act 48 hours processed.
What I enjoy most about my job is having the opportunity to work with such a diverse and interesting group of students each year, and witness the feelings of fulfillment that come with completing one of our programs. Whether you are a full-time student or a working mother, whether it’s your first degree or your third, whether you are a Pittsburgh native or you are studying abroad, it is my pleasure to work with you as you prepare for this exciting achievement.
