IL 1000 - INTRODUCTION TO ELEMENTARY TEACHING
AN INTRODUCTION TO TEACHING IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDRESSES BOTH HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY PERSPECTIVES. PROVIDES A BASIC INTRODUCTION TO INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING, CURRICULUM, AND MANAGEMENT. CLASSROOM OBSERVATIONS AND SEVERAL CLASSROOM EXPERIENCES WITH ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ARE PART OF COURSE REQUIREMENTS. ACT 33 AND 34 CLEARANCES ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER SCHOOL SITES SO STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIRS PRIOR TO BEGINNING CLASS.
