IPRE 9214 - RELATNSHP OF LRNG TO AFECTV DVLP

AFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT HAS A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE SUC CESSFUL LEARNING PROCESS FOR PRE-SCHOOL AND PRIMARY CHIL DREN. THIS COURSE, BASED ON THE CONCEPTUAL FOCUS OF THE WORK OF FRED ROGERS, WILL PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHERS TO CONSIDER THEIR WORK IN UNDERSTANDING, RESPECTING, AND PROVIDING FOR THE AFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN THEY TEACH. PARTICIPANTS WILL EXPLORE AREAS INCLUDING SUPPORTING COMPETENCY, EXPLORING AND UNDERSTANDING CHIL DREN'S FEELINGS, NATURE OF MAKE-BELIEVE, ROUTINES TRANSI TIONS, TEACHER'S EXPECTATIONS AND EMOTIONS.
