Exercise Science - Bachelor of Science (BS) Overview

Baccalaureate study in the Department of Health and Physical Activity leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and provides specializations in Exercise Science, and Wellness and Coaching. The exercise science specialization is appropriate for students anticipating graduate study in the movement sciences. This specialization focuses on basic science electives. Students enrolled in baccalaureate curricula take a common cluster of courses in the human movement disciplines, which includes a distribution of courses in liberal arts and sciences, a general core of movement science courses, and a sequence of professional and practicum courses.
