General Special Education

Individually designed post-baccalaureate programs of study are available for those students who hold Pennsylvania special education teaching certificates, or general educators wanting to learn more about serving the needs of students with disabilities in their classroom. These post-baccalaureate specializations are designed to accommodate individualized professional goals and may culminate in a masters degree (36 credits) or an advanced certification.

  • Master of Education (MEd) - The M.Ed. is for teachers already certified in Special Education who desire to develop advanced level competencies in their related fields. This degree is also available for individuals with baccalaureate degrees seeking professional careers in special education settings where certification is not required.
