Innovations in Education

CGSE is pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Donnelly, director of the Center for Physical Activity and Weight Management at the University of Kansas, will be the keynote speaker at our annual research conference. Dr. Donnelly is known for his research in the area of childhood obesity and has designed innovative ways for teachers to incorporate physical activity into their daily teaching routines. This emphasis on the integration of physical activity and classroom learning should draw the interest of not only HPA students, but also students from other departments throughout the School of Education.  The CGSE Student Research Conference will take place this year from February 25 - 26, 2009.  Students interested in helping to plan the conference should send an e-mail to cgse@pitt.edu.  In the subject line, direct the e-mail to the attention of Megan Guise.
