Community Program Evaluation

The Planning and Evaluation Project conducts evaluations of human service programs serving children, youth, and families. These evaluations are designed and implemented in a collaborative manner by a multi-disciplinary staff. Areas in which evaluations have been conducted include family support services, youth development programs, early child care and education, and inclusion initiatives among others.

The Planning and Evaluation Division also conducts statewide evaluation projects, which include:

  • The Keystone Stars Program Demonstration Project Evaluation, which assesses the implementation and effectiveness of Pennsylvania's quality early child care initiative.
  • The Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Evaluation, which has been designed to assess PTSD treatment program implementation with female juvenile offenders in residential facilities.
