The Evaluation Technical Assistance Project has been established to encourage and assist nonprofit organizations to conduct their own program evaluations and more generally to use information for a variety of purposes, such as management, program development, and fund raising. The project, which is guided by an advisory committee composed of agency staff, funders, and evaluators, has conducted an assessment of Allegheny County agencies' needs for assistance in evaluation.
Based on the needs assessment, training in evaluation is being offered to community agency staff and participants as well as funders. The training provides opportunities for participants to apply the concepts learned to their own agency.
