- Program or Teaching
- As a new element of the Western Pennsylvania Superintendent's Forum, we have created an advisory committee comprised of leaders from business, government, basic education, higher education and non-profits. This group advises regional school superintendents on issues requiring public leadership by superintendents. Last year's topic revolved around NCLB and resulted in a published OP.ED. in the Post Gazette. This year's advice centered around student health and environment.
- Research or Scholarship
- I have consulted with CCT regarding the development of Cisco Education 3.0 Leading Indicators. EDC's Center for Children and Technology, investigates the roles that technology can play in improving teaching and learning within children's classrooms, schools and communities. They also design and develop technology applications that support engaged, active learning and student-centered teaching practices. (More Information...) [http://cct.edc.org/]

- Allegheny County Challenge Program Advisory Council. This program is intended to create a bridge between high school students and regional employers.
- Trustee, Laughlin Center for Children
- 2009 Education Experience Co-Coordinator, Leadership Pittsburgh. We arranged for 60 LPXXV fellows to visit 8 regional high schools and explore the socio-economic and academic differences.
- Strategic Advisory Committee, Commission on Secondary Schools, Middle States Association
- 3 Rivers Connect, 3rc, Board Member and Education Committee Chair
- ASSET, Inc., Leadership Council, former Board Member and President. Currently a member of the ASSET,Inc. Education Leadership Council.
- Facilitator of a series of CEO to CEO meetings with regional school superintendents, Administrative and Policy Studies and CEOs from the Allegheny Conference, the focus of which has been workforce quality. This relationship has resulted in increased participation in work force quality issues, particularly with the Community College of Allegheny County. (More Information...)
