Among the various areas under Vice Provost Humphrey’s purview are the Office of Student Affairs, Student Life, Residence Life, University Counseling Center, the Student Health Service, Judicial Affairs, Career Services, Disability Resources and Services, the Office of Cross Cultural and Civic Leadership, and the Office of International Services.

With Dr. Humphrey’s leadership, these units work together to coordinate programs, activities, and services with the goal of supporting an enriching, safe, and diverse environment that maximizes student learning and development, and compliments the research-focused academic programs of the University.

In addition to her role as the Vice Provost and Dean of Students, Dr. Humphrey has a faculty appointment in the School of Education. Her primary research area is focused on helping traditional-age college students find their purpose. Dr. Humphrey earned a B.S. in Education at Central Missouri State University, a M.A. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Saint Louis University.

Many of her activities involved creating seamless learning opportunities for students.

For the last twenty years, Dr. Humphrey has held progressive leadership positions in higher education. With a commitment to student success both inside and outside the classroom, she brings dedication and optimism to every challenge. “I am a leader who believes that everything can be made better,” Humphrey says, “making the world better by positively impacting the lives of students is my life’s mission.”

Dr. Humphrey has traveled the country serving as keynote speaker or workshop facilitator for over 50 universities and other types of organizations for the past fifteen years.
