At the master's degree level, students may emphasize study in the specialization of reading education. The master's degree options are designed to help beginning and experienced elementary and secondary teachers acquire the concepts, skills, and attitudes of master teachers in their fields.
Two master's degree options are offered in the reading education specialization. One is combined with Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certification--the MEd plus Reading Specialist Certification - and the other is an MEd without reading specialist certification.
