Social and Comparative Analysis in Education - Master of Arts (MA) Overview

The MA student and her/his advisor prepare a plan of studies of at least 36 credits, including nine credits meeting the School of Education requirement in basic areas of education, 12 credits of program area coursework (selected form the list of approved courses), nine credits of a supporting field in one or more academic disciplines, departments or professional schools (outside of education), and six credits associated with developing an overview for and completing an MA thesis. The SCAE program area must approve the plan of studies. To graduate, the student must successfully complete the coursework indicated in the plan of studies, pass the comprehensive exam, and defend the overview and thesis.
