The SOE Macintosh Lab Main Lab hosts a number of graduate (both Masters and Doctoral) level courses for teachers, school administrators, evaluators, policy analysts, and other educational decision-makers. The courses offer exposure to using computers to collect, manage, analyze and report data in a variety of settings, from a diversity of perspective, both quantitative and qualitative. For example, students have
the opportunity to explore web-based datasets describing Pennsylvania schools, to code and analyze narrative data for theory-building, to learn and apply statistical procedures to real datasets, and to learn advanced techniques to prepare and present meaningful case summaries to influence educational policy.
