Greg Latshaw is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Pitt School of Education. He has more than 15 years of experience as a marketing and communications professional in the higher education and print journalism fields.
Since 2011, he has worked at the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, he was the Associate Director of Engagement at the College of Business Administration. In this role, he led marketing and communications strategies to advance strategic goals in student affairs, admissions marketing, alumni engagement, brand management, and the website and digital media.
Prior to this position, Greg worked as the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at Pitt’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration. His portfolio of projects included writing and editing, the management of all print and electronic publications, social media strategy, executive communications, and media and public relations.
Before joining Pitt, Greg worked as a print journalist. He was the Senior Political Writer for The Daily Times in Salisbury, Md. and was also the Maryland correspondent for USA Today. He received numerous awards for his writing and reporting, including the Gannett Company Freedom of Information Act Award, the Associated Press Mark Twain Award for Science Reporting, and nine reporting awards across various categories from the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association.
Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Penn State University’s Bellisario College of Communications and earned his Master of Education degree in Higher Education Management from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education.
