Marijke Hecht
Graduate Student Researcher

Marijke Hecht is a PhD candidate in Learning Sciences and Policy. Her research explores relationships between learners, educators, and place across informal settings, including arts and environmental education. She is particularly interested in how learning ecosystems can be designed and managed to improve educational equity. Prior to graduate school, Marijke was the Director of Education for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. She received her MS in Botany from the University of Vermont and her BA from Hampshire College.
