Veysel Gokbel

Veysel Gokbel is an alumnus holding a master's and a PhD degree from the Department of Administrative and Policy Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Gokbel has a 7+ years of experience building, manipulating, and analyzing datasets at both large scale and startup ecosystems. He has been working as a data scientist at a fast growing traveltech startup since 2018. He also coordinates digital marketing and IT demand at the Institute for International Studies in Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked as a research analyst, market researcher, program coordinator, and consultant in the past.

Veysel is also an alumnus of Innovation Institute’s Blast Furnace Startup Accelerator Program at the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked on building university-based entrepreneurship ecosystem across the nation. His professional interests include but not limited to product and marketing analytics, large scale data analysis, e-commerce, edtech, entrepreneurship and innovation, and higher education.

He is skilled in data analytics, visualization, experiment design, product management, program coordination, team management, market research, university-based entrepreneurship ecosystem building, report and article writing, marketing analytics, and startup consulting and mentoring.

Veysel is proficient in major statistical and programming languages including SQL, Python, Stata, Nvivo, Qualtrics and able to learn other software and programming languages.
