Debralyn Woodberry-Shaw MSW, LSW is an Equity and Justice Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh in the School of Education’s PhD program. She is exploring collective and personal healing and liberation for Black girls and teen women and how child- and youth-serving organizations can support them in their journeys. She is advised by Dr. Tom Akiva. Debralyn obtained her B.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her Master's in Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduating with her MSW, Debralyn founded ELIE Circle, LLC. – a business that focuses on offering professional development experiences based in research and practice. These experiences strive to foster the holistic health of young people of Color and the adults that work with them in child- and youth-serving organizations.
