Rochelle L. Woods is the Senior Assistant Dean for Administration, Operations, and Academic Programs in the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where she oversees financial operations, IT, marketing and communications, student services, and facilities. She also works closely with academic departments and divisions to develop and implement new academic degree and certificate programs.
Dr. Woods joined Pitt in 2018 as Executive Director of Administration for the School of Education. Prior to then, Dr. Woods also held leadership roles in diversity and multicultural affairs at Ohio State University and University of Michigan. In these roles, she led successful programs and initiatives related to academic success, retention, graduation, and college access that served thousands of students of color, first-generation students, and low-income students.
Dr. Woods holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Michigan.
