Program Overview
The Minor in Applied Developmental Psychology is a 15-credit program open to students from across the University of Pittsburgh.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn about children and youth in communities and then apply that knowledge at youth-serving organizations in the Pittsburgh area.
This minor is for students who want to work with children, youth, or families in a variety of ways and want unique hands-on experiences.
All students are required to take at least one course in development and one course with a community engagement element.

There are no prerequisites for the program.
Admission Requirements
A maximum of 6 credit hours of education coursework may be transferred from another institution with Program Coordinator approval.
