Fanny Edel Falk is a K-8 tuition-based campus laboratory school affiliated with the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Since 1931, Falk has provided a learning environment grounded in community, diversity, progressive and experiential education, and focused, meaningful engagement between students and teachers.
Each year, faculty and staff work with intern teachers, student teachers, practicum students, researchers and visitors to perform and support the major functions of laboratory schools: education for students, teacher preparation, innovative curriculum development, educational research, and professional development and inquiry.
The Falk experience is guided by the school’s 21 Wishes for Our Children, which emphasize academic growth and collaboration alongside friendship and play.
