CGSE Secures Expert in Childhood Obesity as Keynote Speaker for Annual Conference

CGSE is pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Donnelly, director of the Center for Physical Activity and Weight Management at the University of Kansas, will be the keynote speaker at our annual research conference. Dr. Donnelly is known for his research in the area of childhood obesity and has designed innovative ways for teachers to incorporate physical activity into their daily teaching routines. CGSE invites all graduate students in the Pitt SOE to join us on the first Thursday of every month at 11 AM in the CGSE student lounge (WWPH 5100). Please come and make your voice heard! Pizza and soda is provided.

Council on Graduate Students in Education Emphasize Recycling During CGSE Conference

During the annual CGSE Student Research Conference, all presenters will be given a reusable water bottle instead of an individual use bottle.  At each meeting, everyone can refill their water bottle.  In addition, various recycling bins will be set-up in the area for dispoal of recyclable material.  Everyone is encouraged to become a role-model in the recycling effort.
