During the School of Education’s orientation, incoming undergraduate and graduate students will:

  • Be introduced to school leaders, student services staff, and faculty leaders
  • Receive information on the School of Education mission-vision, student/career resources, and other essential items
  • Engage in morning and afternoon breakout sessions for some program areas (see below for program-specific breakout sessions)
  • Receive free giveaways of school merchandise, including T-shirts!

Participation at orientation is expected. If there is an extenuating circumstance that prevents you from attending, please reach out to educ@pitt.edu to discuss your situation.

Parking and Transportation

  1. Pittsburgh Regional Transit
    • Students can ride the Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) to campus for free on the day of orientation. To find schedules, visit the PRT Schedule Finder website.

  2. Parking Lots

      • Remember to have your Pitt ID available, as patrons may be screened to enter the three parking spots. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve pay basis.
