Michael Haas is the Director of Development and Alumni Affairs for the University of Pittsburgh School of Education and the Division of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement. In this role, he leads all fundraising, alumni relations, and stewardship activities for the School of Education and Falk Laboratory School (K-8 grade).
Michael joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in 2010 as the Director of Constituent Relations. Prior to his time at the University of Pittsburgh, he worked at Carnegie Mellon University in their University Advancement division, along with Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in their development office.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his master’s degree in public policy and management from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. In 2015, the School of Education’s Center for Urban Education honored Michael for his support and dedication to the Center. He also serves on the Baldwin Whitehall Education Foundation Board and is a committee member and fundraising chair for BSA Troop 338.
