What is teacher certification?
Whether your career goals include teaching French to sixth graders, transforming local public schools, or developing curricula and activities for special needs students, the School of Education offers you a wide variety of teaching certification options, each of which provide you with the training needed to achieve your career goals. Our faculty-led courses embody an essential combination of research and clinical-based instruction, providing you with up-to-date knowledge and on-the-job experience that will lead to your success as a professional educator.
The
MAT program options, listed below, offer you the opportunity to simultaneously gain a Master of Arts in teaching degree and meet the requirements to obtain a Pennsylvania Instructional I Certificate. Our MAT program also offers the most current curriculum selections, a collaborative cohort structure, and an innovative mix of online and hybrid courses.
