Integrating Computer Science into Middle School ELA
The project, titled “Multi-District Collaboration to Develop Justice-Focused Computational Thinking Pathways for Middle School English Language Arts,” seeks to infuse computer science principles into middle school English Language Arts classrooms.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, the effort is a research-practice partnership that will create a network of schools, a regional support center, and a university.
The goal is to ensure that all students have access to a computer science curriculum and that learning opportunities are infused into environments outside of traditional STEM classrooms. This approach aims to increase digital empowerment for female and Black students.
