Centers and Institutes
The Pitt School of Education has many partnerships with centers, institutes, and initiatives both on campus and regionally. The school has also developed some of its own centers to enhance the education of students as well as those in local communities.
Center for Urban Education
The Center for Urban Education (CUE) aims to sustain conditions for K-12 communities that encourage collaboration, and sponsor new dialogues focused on the meaning of scholarship and the experience of school-university engagements.

Healthy Lifestyle Institute
The mission of the Healthy Lifestyle Institute is to develop, translate, and implement health and wellness programs for the University of Pittsburgh and the communities of the greater Pittsburgh region.
Institute for International Studies in Education
The Institute for International Studies in Education builds on the School of Education’s international programs begun in the early 1960s through the coordination of technical assistance and training activities throughout the school.
Office of Child Development
Built upon a university-community partnership, the Office of Child Development strives to respond creatively and collaboratively to challenges facing children in Pittsburgh and around the world.
